The Arkansas Trucking Association formed the Accounting & Finance Council for accounting and finance professionals at its annual meeting in Little Rock, May 18 -20.
The ATA-AFC will promote cooperative efforts among member companies of the ATA to increase education and research of taxation, finance, accounting, collection, risk management and technology issues impacting the trucking industry.
Council leadership was elected at the first meeting, held in conjunction with the ATA Annual Business Conference. The Council leadership includes Joseph Kaiser from USA Truck as chairman, Eric Grant from Maverick Transportation as vice chairman and Jeff Wiskur from Distribution Solutions, Inc. as secretary.
The AFC will be open to all member companies of ATA and will offer members regular meetings, council research opportunities, education materials development. Membership fees to the newest ATA council is waived for the rest of 2016 for any companies who are considering involvement and would like to attend meetings and network with other financial professionals.
